Life Is Precious

Life is preciousasdgfkj;l

Life is an act of love which starts in God’s heart and at the moment of conception is planted into a woman’s womb. It is God’s will becoming flesh, a human being before and after birth, “born not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.” (John 1:13)

Our Lord reminds us in Mark 12:30-31: “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ The second is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these”.

In the Diary of St. Faustina – Divine Mercy in My Soul Our Lord says:

“I demand from you deeds of mercy, which are to arise out of love for Me. You are to show mercy to your neighbors always and everywhere. You must not shrink from this or try to excuse or absolve yourself from it. I am giving you three ways of exercising mercy toward your neighbor: first by deed, the second by word, the third by prayer. In these three degrees is contained the fullness of mercy.”

It is not easy to love the ones who cause us pain and suffering, but it is ease to love a child who never trespassed against us, a baby that hasn’t been born yet. It is easy, and is our duty to love, to cherish and protect children, show them mercy by fighting for their right to life.

Every year hundreds of thousands (over 926000 during the year 2015, according to Guttmacher) of innocent babies are killed as an effect of the Supreme Court’s Roe v. Wade ruling, over sixty million since 1973.

St. John the Baptist lost his head because he had the audacity to stand up for what is right, opposing the wrongdoing of his King. St. Ambrose openly disregarded empire Valentinian II’s orders authorizing Arian assemblies and forbidding Catholic ones, and he banned emperor Theodosius from His church until he perform public penance for his atrocities. St. John Chrysostom was exiled by Emperor Arcadius. St. Stanislaus, Bishop of Cracow was murdered for the excommunication of King Boleslaus II called “the Cruel.” St. Thomas Becket gained His martyrdom as an effect of a conflict with King Henry, and many more lost or risk their earthly lives and gain eternity by taking actions against the evil of their times.

With the industrial revolution came social revolution and the monarchy was replaced with a variety of political structures, mostly forms of democracy.

Blessed Pope Pius IX, Leo XII, St. Pius X and their successors understood the dangers and responsibilities coming from the new order in the world, requiring citizens to be more involved in the affairs of their countries. To clarify the position of the Catholic Church and raise awareness, they issued a number of documents starting with the Syllabus of Errors, encyclical Rerum Novarum, the decree Lamentabili (called also the Syllabus of Pius X). St. John Paul II after Berlin wall collapsed, encouraged citizens of Poland and other countries of the Eastern Block to be vigilant and involved.

Edmund Burke once said: “The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.”

Good people stood together to defeat the Nazis during WWII, Communism during the Cold War, and today good people have to unite in ending the Holocaust of the twenty first century, the slaughter of unborn babies.

The National Pro-Life Alliance is working to gather one million petitions necessary to begin the process of a Life at Conception Act in US Congress.

Our Lord Jesus Christ, by His suffering and death on the Cross, opened the gate to Heaven. Now is our turn to cross this gate by fighting the ancient fight, fighting against evil, by standing for what is right. It is our turn to go to the website of the National Pro-life

Alliance http://nationalprolifealliance.com/lacamf_petition.aspx, get informed, and sign the petition. Don’t stop there, download the flyer (http://forum.brigadeofstambrose.com/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=27), print copies and give them to relatives and friends, spread the message in your church, support the initiative leading to delegalizing abortion in the USA.
